Both sources say the team were to participate starting on Saturday, but arrival on Friday depends on nuances of the sort that are really, really hard to extract from sources in a language one isn't fluent in. It came down to the un-simple tense of a verb; but between experiments with autotranslation, advice from someone who... well, used to know Spanish somewhat, and peripheral evidence, I'm allowing the point.
