Update[edit]

My changes to Bolton may draw out some questions, but I think they are justified. --SVTCobra 00:19, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

What, minus politician plus lawyer? Plus-lawyer is straightforward enough. Minus-politician is defensible; tangling in politics does not a politician make. --Pi zero (talk) 00:32, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Heh (as you might say), I thought I remembered we didn't have Henry Kissinger as a politician. (Spoiler: we do) and thought this was a good opportunity to draw a line and say "politicians are elected to positions" 😊 Diplomats and others are really just civil servants 😊 Right 😍⁉️
Then I started beating myself in the head for how stupid, naive, and utterly ridiculous this is. There is a distinction between these people, but it is so narrow and it varies so much from country-to-country. If I followed this logic, paramount leaders of China could be considered civil servants and not politicians. I apologize for this temporary (I hope) lapse in sanity. Cheers, --SVTCobra 01:39, 3 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
